Now, let’s dig a little deeper…

How did you get into Credit Insurance?

I previously worked in General Insurance at Provincial Insurance. I was getting married in September of that year and thought I might like a change. I went for an interview with Andrew Lane at Bain Clarkson who convinced me to join them even though I had no idea what Credit Insurance was but thought it wouldn’t be much different to General Insurance. I then came back from my honeymoon and started my new role.

If not Credit Insurance, what would be your dream job?

A chiropodist – I love sorting feet out!

If you won the lottery, what would you do?

I’d buy a cottage by the coast.

Tell us something about yourself that people wouldn’t already know?

I played the E-Flat Bass and Trombone in my school band.

What’s your favourite food?

Fish and chips (with lots of salt and vinegar) sat on a bench looking out to sea.

What’s your favourite TV show?

It has to be Who Do You Think You Are?

What was the last film you saw at the cinema?

Overdosed on The Lord of the Rings series… I’ve never been since.

What scares you?

Heights.

Finally, what advice would you give to new starters to the industry?

Dig in deep and you’ll love it (or – don’t do it).
